Let’s be honest—these spaces often become storage black holes for “just in case” items, old boxes, and things we haven’t thought about in years. But don’t worry—you’re not expected to declutter the whole garage or basement in a day. In fact, we recommend the opposite!

The Goal: Declutter One Zone at a Time

This challenge is about progress, not perfection. Choose one shelf, corner, bin, or box. That’s it! Once you see how manageable this is, you might even feel inspired to tackle another tomorrow.

Why This Matters:

• Create space for what you actually use—your tools, seasonal decor, or even a hobby workspace.

• Eliminate the guilt of hanging on to items you no longer need or forgot you owned.

• Make future moving or downsizing easier—you won’t have to sort through decades of “maybe” boxes in a rush.

Easy Tips to Get Started:

1. Set a timer for 20–30 minutes. Decluttering doesn’t need to take all day.

2. Be decisive: Keep only what you use and love. Donate or toss the rest.

3. Label your bins and boxes. A little organization goes a long way.
